(VOVworld) – Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Wednesday Ukraine should be able to pay off its outstanding gas bill within a week, adding that the deadlock between Moscow and Kiev can only be broken if Ukraine shows a financial commitment to Russia.
Novak told reporters at an energy conference in Moscow that during Tuesday’s talks in Brussels, Russia and Ukraine managed to agree on gas prices but the talks were stalled by another issue – where will Ukraine get the money to pay in advance for gas supplies in November and December?
