Russian expert hails Vietnam's sci-tech development policy
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s decision to make science, technology, and innovation the main driver of its socio-economic development is the correct path forward, said Dr. Grigory Trubnikov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Science and Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna.

During an interview with a Vietnam News Agency reporter, Dr. Trubnikov hailed Vietnam’s Politburo’s Resolution No.57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
He said, "Vietnam made the right decision in making science, technology, and innovation the driving forces of its socio-economic development. At the Dubna Institute, our Vietnamese staff are engaged in scientific research, defending theses, and enhancing their qualifications before returning home to contribute to Vietnam’s science."
Vietnam has a rapidly growing economy with a large population, favorable geographical location and climate, Dr. Trubnikov said, adding he believes Vietnam can thrive in economic, scientific, technological, and educational indices. He said the Vietnam-Russia partnership in science has gained new momentum with the Vietnamese government approving a policy decision to establish a nuclear technology center.
