During the four-day visit, President Putin will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin, scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 1, and meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He has also been invited to a military parade in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square on September 3 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism.

North Korea’s state news agency KCNA reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will make his first visit to China in six years to attend the parade, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
