Sacred animals are legendary or fictional creatures used as cultural symbols or to embody a religious belief. They appear in many legends and works of art. Vietnamese people have invented sacred animals or derived them from ones in other countries. The first sacred animals appeared long ago and deeply reflect Vietnam’s spiritual life and culture.
