(VOVworld) – An art performance program called Sacred Vesak was held by the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha in Ho Chi Minh city on Saturday.
More than 160 performances featured the birth, enlightenment and passing away of Buddha and conveyed the message of good religious and secular life to all Vietnamese Buddhist followers. The program was part of activities in anticipation to the UN Day of Vesak to be hosted by Vietnam in Ninh Binh province from May 7 to 11 under the theme “Buddhism and the UN Millennium Development Goals”.
