Themed "Enhancing ASEAN Military Medicine Cooperation from Global Crisis to the Age of Artificial Intelligence Technology", this year’s conference provided a forum for ASEAN military medical leaders to address complex global and regional challenges, including natural disasters, humanitarian crises, and the risk of infectious diseases escalating into pandemics.
The Vietnamese delegation, led by Major General Professor Dr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Director of the Military Medical Department, participated in discussions and made valuable contributions. Vietnam's military medicine sector is embracing digital transformation and is eager to cooperate with, learn from, and share experiences with its ASEAN counterparts.
During a bilateral meeting with the Indonesian Military Medical Board, both sides expressed their intention to strengthen cooperation in hospital ships, proton therapy, and immunotherapy, where Indonesia has expertise, and burn treatment and infectious disease management, where Vietnam has strength.
