(VOVworld) – 33 thousand tourists including 1,500 foreigners have enjoyed a week-long festival called Sapa in the Clouds Festival 2013 in the northern province of Lao Cai. This year’s event, which concluded Sunday, drew more visitors than last year’s thanks to a long holiday for Reunification Day (April 30th) and May Day (May 1st). Indigenous culture was featured in a series of activities including a Khen (Pen-pipe) and flute contest for Mong ethnic people, an ethnic costume show, a Sapa love market, and a cultural day of the Mong ethnic minority.
