(VOVWORLD) - The Saudi-led military coalition fighting Yemen’s Houthi movement foiled an attack by two explosives-laden boats deployed against Saudi Arabia’s Jizan port.
Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Malki said the Royal Saudi Navy Forces detected two remotely controlled explosive boats headed to the port of Jizan. They were intercepted and destroyed.
The coalition said the Houthis might be behind the attempt. The Houthis have said their attacks on Saudi Arabia are in retaliation for air raids on Yemen by the Western-backed coalition.
