(VOVWORLD) - Fully vaccinated foreign arrivals will only need to self-quarantine for 3 days, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.

The new regulations will be effective from January 1, 2022, the day Vietnam is set to resume regular international flights on a pilot basis.
According to the Ministry’s latest guidelines, all arrivals must have proof of negative PCR test results within 72 hours prior to entry except children under 2, and install the PC-COVID app for health monitoring.
Entrants who have been fully vaccinated, or recovered from COVID-19, must neither make direct contact with other people nor leave their places of residence or designated accommodation during the first three days. Two PCR tests will be conducted, on the first and third day from the entry.
Entrants who have not been fully vaccinated will stay at home or place of accommodation for seven days, with PCR tests conducted on the first and seventh day.
Vietnam is scheduled to resume international flights from next year for nine destinations including San Francisco or Los Angeles of the US, Singapore, and Seoul of South Korea.
