(VOVworld)- The Vietnam-US Society of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Associations held a seminar on Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership, people's exchanges and cooperation in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Chairman of the VUS Nguyen Tam Chien urged participants to discuss new ways to further bilateral ties and enhance people-to-people exchanges. Ms Marsha Four, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation promised to continue to support and contribute to enhancing bilateral ties. Chuck Searcy, an American war veteran in Vietnam, discussed improvements of bilateral cooperation and challenges in supporting victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin. He urged the US to continue to help Vietnam to address the problem. The participants also discussed preparations for the Vietnam – US veterans’ business forum scheduled for July 6 and 7 in Hanoi.
