(VOVWORLD) - An online seminar outlining the Code of Conduct on communications for improving awareness of migrant workers was held on Friday for employment service centers of 25 provinces and cities.

The Code of Conduct provides concepts and methods of information dissemination for community, behavior change communication, and ways to develop plans, strategies and communication suitable to the situation of each locality.
The CoC was developed by the International Organization for Migration and Vietnam's Overseas Labor Management Department.
This will support people who want to migrate for work make a safe selection, said Tran Thi Van Ha of the Overseas Labor Management Department.
“The communication set is simple and concise, acting as a tool for localities to make annual, quarterly and monthly communication plans, design appropriate budgets, support those who want to work abroad, and change their awareness about safe and efficient migration,” said Ha.
Yun Doyen, the Partnership Head of Projects at IOM Vietnam, said the organization appreciates the cooperation with Vietnam to promote safe, legal migration and better protect Vietnamese migrant workers.
