During the reception in the Defense Ministry on Friday, General Minh said comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the US had developed positively through humanitarian aids, disaster responsive activities, training and joint efforts in UN peace keeping missions and war consequences recovery. He said Vietnam respects and treasure the US role in the region and hoped for more defense cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual interests for peace and stability.
