The SOM 2 and related meetings will last till May 21, focusing discussions on trade and investment liberalization, business facilitation, human resources development, education, economics, food safety, science-technology and innovation, mining, the automobile industry, and urbanization. 

The Policy Partnership on Women and the Economy meeting takes place in Hanoi on May 9, 2017.

“We want countries to work together to remove technical barriers to Vietnam’s exports of agro-forestry products and seafood,” Le Anh Ngoc from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development told a food safety cooperation forum.

Participants will also look into how to promote key cooperation agenda and priorities adopted at the SOM 1 and outline documents to submit to senior officials in November and ministerial meetings this year.
