On the national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, children under 18 are not allowed to board because they haven’t been vaccinated. But those who have recovered from COVID-19 can fly, provided they have a hospital discharge certificate which proves they recovered from the disease and tested  negative for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR or quick antigen test within 72 hours prior to boarding.

As for the elderly over 65 years old subject to the COVID-19 vaccine, if they meet the requirements of negative test and COVID-19 vaccination, they can buy tickets normally.

The Ministry of Health has expanded COVID-19 vaccination to children aged 12 to 17, helping them soon go by air.

After adding Ho Chi Minh City - Ca Mau and Hanoi - Dien Bien routes, the list of pilot routes resumed until the end of this month includes 21 routes with 42 flights per day per way.

In addition, there is one round trip linking Da Nang with the Mekong delta province of Can Tho, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, and one round trip connecting the central province of Thanh Hoa and the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
