Mr. Chinh was speaking at a monthly Government meeting on Monday, which began with a minute of silence to honor late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Cabinet members also congratulated President To Lam on being elected General Secretary of the Party Central Committee with a unanimous vote.

PM Chinh noted that growth improved in industry, agriculture, and services, while the macro economy remained stable, inflation was controlled, and major balances and trade surplus were ensured.

Major issues were addressed, social security was maintained, and national sovereignty, political security, and social order were upheld. Foreign affairs were strengthened, and Vietnam's prestige and position continued to rise, PM Chinh said.
