(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has met Soc Trang provincial authorities to review local socio economic development. In a province with large population of Khmer people, the local authorities have tried to improve infrastructure and production to raise the living standards of the ethnic group.


During his working session on Friday, the Prime Minister asked the province to promote agricultural restructuring and scientific application to improve productivity, especially the development of processing industry to add more value to agricultural products. He said careful selection of breeds must be prioritized to ensure high yields and minimize crop diseases.
