Solutions ready to support businesses hit by COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - Half of Vietnamese businesses will survive if COVID-19 is contained in Vietnam in April, according to local economists.

A report on COVID-19 impacts on the Vietnamese economy published by the National Economics University on Tuesday said in this scenario 30% of Vietnamese businesses will have to scale down their operations or declare bankruptcy. Companies will face greater challenges if the epidemic continues until the end of the 2nd quarter, said Deputy Rector Hoang Van Cuong.
“Our report suggests 2 solutions. If COVID-19 is contained soon, our solution will focus on supporting businesses and employees. If the epidemic expands until the end of the year support measures should be upgraded into rescue measures,” said Cuong.
The report was compiled by 50 leading Vietnamese experts and scientists.
