(VOVworld) – Late South African President Nelson Mandela will be buried in the Eastern Cape village Qunu where he spent much of his childhood.

At least 5,000 people including state leaders and celebrities will attend his funeral in Qunu. In compliance with Mandela’s family, the funeral will be held privately and not be broadcast on TV.

Earlier on Friday, tens of thousands of South African people and international friends witnessed the third procession and paid the last tribute to the President. Over the past three days, about 70,000 people have been offered free transportation from gathering stations in the city to the Presidential Palace to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela.
