South Korea, US hold joint air exercises

(VOVWORLD) - South Korea and the US have been holding combined air exercises this week, South Korean military officials said Thursday.

According to the officials, the air forces of South Korea and the US Forces in Korea began squadron-level exercises on Monday. The exercises will end Friday. These are annual combined exercises designed to improve execution of joint operations, a South Korean Air Force official said, adding that the scale of the exercises is on a par with previous years. F-15K and KF-16 fighter jets from South Korea and F-16s from the US are taking part.
