Tension on the Korean Peninsula can still be relieved through dialogue, special envoys of South Korea, the US, and Japan agreed at a meeting on Tuesday. The three agreed on “firm” retaliation for North Korea missile test last Tuesday. Senior officials say China and Russia need to put pressure on Pyongyang to bring North Korea back to the negotiation process.
