South Korean President to visit the US
(VOVWORLD) - South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol will visit the United States next week for a summit with President Joe Biden to mark the 70th anniversary of the two countries’ alliance, said the Presidential Office on Thursday.

The 6-day visit will begin next Monday including a summit and banquet next Wednesday, Deputy National Security adviser, Kim Tae-hyo, told a briefing.
During the visit, Yoon and Biden will exchange views on the future direction of the two countries and discuss a range of issues, including strengthening the US’s commitment to defending South Korea with conventional and nuclear military capabilities and cooperation on semiconductor supply chains.
Yoon will deliver a speech to US Congress before travelling to Boston where he is due to speak at Harvard Kennedy School, Kim said.
