South Korean Prime Minster calls for cooperation toward inter-Korean Summit

(VOVWORLD) -South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak Yon on Sunday hosted a lunch for a high-ranking delegation from North Korea which included the younger sister of leader Kim Jong Un.

Kim Yo Jong serves as First Vice-Director of the Central Committee of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea. Also attending the lunch was Mr Kim Yong Nam, North Korea's nominal head of state, who is leading the delegation to the 2018 Winter Olympic in Pyeongchang. Mr Lee mentioned an invitation from North Korea to South Korean President Moon Jae In to visit Pyongyang. Lee said inter-Korean discussions should continue after the Olympics.

Kim Yong Nam expressed his belief in a future reunification of the Korean peninsula, saying it could be achieved through a diplomatic effort by both sides.
