Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus tweeted on Sunday: “There have been some concerning instances of onward 2019-nCoV spread from people with no travel history to China. The detection of a small number of cases may indicate more widespread transmission in other countries; in short, we may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg.”

He called on countries to share their information of the virus with the WHO and step up efforts to contain it. The leader reiterated his call for public calm in the fight against nCoV.

A total of 910 people have died from the 2019-nCoV, mainly in mainland China.
