President Cuong said multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Australia is at its most brilliant stage of development since the establishment of diplomatic relations more than half a century ago. He expressed his belief that the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will continue to flourish, bring practical benefits to the two peoples, and contribute to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

In her response, Governor-General Mostyn said that today, Australia's stability, prosperity and security are deeply linked with countries in the region and Vietnam is the leading country in these connections. The two countries' upgrading of diplomatic relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in March 2024 is a historic milestone, she said, adding that it reflects the deep strategic trust and shared ambition of Australia and Vietnam towards jointly building a brighter future for both countries.
