State Duma Chairman wraps up official visit to Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin concluded his two-day official visit to Vietnam on Monday.

During his visit, Volodin held talks with National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and paid a courtesy visit to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The two sides pledged their efforts to assist Vietnam-Russia collaboration in all fields, create favorable legal frameworks to promote trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges at all levels, particularly between Vietnamese and Russian localities. Volodin said Russia will provide Vietnam with more scholarships to train high-school Russian language teachers. They signed an agreement on establishing an inter-parliament cooperation committee, which reflects the political trust between the two countries’ leaders and their strong determination to enhance parliamentary cooperation.
The State Duma delegation laid a wreath at the Monument for Martyrs, paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum, and visited the President Ho Chi Minh relic site at the Presidential Palace.
