President Vo Van Thuong and his wife arrive in Tokyo on November 26, 2023.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and President Thuong will hold talks to review the achievements gained in the 50 years of diplomatic relations and outline directions for stronger cooperation  in the future.

During the visit, which will run until Thursday, President Thuong will meet the Emperor and Empress of Japan, the President of the Japanese House of Councillors and the President of the House of Representatives of Japan, and deliver an important speech at the Japanese Diet.

He will attend a ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, receive leaders of some Japanese political parties, and meet the Vietnamese community in Japan. 

President Thuong will also engage in some activities in Fukuoka.
