(VOVworld) - At least 6 people died and 2 people were injured Thursday in a gunfight which followed a suicide bombing outside the Pakistani consulate in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad.

Local authorities said the suicide bomber joined the visa queue before blowing himself up. Following the blast, a firefight broke out between Afghan security forces and gunmen hiding in a nearby building. The scene of the attack is close to a hospital, schools, and the Indian consulate.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
