Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al Moualem and his Iranian counterpart Ali- Akbar Salehi said in Tehran that the idea of a managed transition of power in Syria is an illusion.

Moualem arrived in Tehran on Sunday for talks with Iranian officials, including Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili and Speaker of the Parliament Ali Larijani. The talks will focus on the bilateral relationship between the two countries, recent developments in Syria, and regional and world issues of mutual concern.
