Taliban kills at least 18 in attack on Afghan military base
(VOVWORLD) - At least 18 people were killed and 30 injured when a car bomb was detonated at a military base and police training center in southern Afghanistan on Monday.
The attack in Maidan Wardak province followed recent shootings by militants targeting Afghan security forces.
Among the four perpetrators, one was killed in the explosion and the other three were shot dead. Most of the victims were security personnel. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing.
