Tech cooperation between Vietnam, Iran enters new chapter

(VOVWORLD) - A number of Iran’s technology companies want to invest in Vietnam, according to Iran’s International Affairs and Technological Exchange Center, which will hold an online technology and trading meeting between Vietnam and Iran next week.

The Center hailed Vietnam’s growth in 2020 and said it considers Vietnam a good market for Iranian tech companies’ products.

Vietnam has set records in annual growth in the past decade as its export of goods and services to the United States grew to 60 billion USD, said the Center.

Vietnam’s long-term growth rate, large population, political stability, and young workforce encourage Iranian companies to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam, it added.

Iran believes that cooperating with and investing in Vietnam will help Iran connect with the ASEAN free trade area and expand its markets in Southeast Asia.
