“Tet for the poor and AO victims” program launched
(VOVWORLD) - The Quang Nam Red Cross Society on Tuesday launched a program to mobilize support for the underprivileged and Agent Orange victims ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival 2019.

The program, themed “Tet for the poor and AO victims”, urges enterprises and individuals to help the poor, AO victims, policy beneficiaries, lonely elderly, and victims of natural disasters enjoy a happy Tet. At the launch, more than 11,000 USD was raised.
The provincial Red Cross Society in Tra Vinh is mobilizing organizations and individuals nationwide to donate 21,000 gift sets to poor households and AO victims. The provincial Fatherland Front will work with the Southern Power Corporation of the Electricity of Vietnam Company to build 8 houses of gratitude which will be donated to policy beneficiaries this month.
