Tet get-together held for OVs in Australia
(VOVWORLD) - The Embassy of Vietnam in Australia on Saturday held a get-together in Canberra for overseas Vietnamese and guest workers in Australia to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Ngo Huong Nam reviewed Vietnam’s major economic achievements in 2018, noting that 2018 is a special year of Vietnam-Australia bilateral ties. He highlighted the overseas Vietnamese community’s important role in connecting the two countries. The Vietnamese government always considers overseas Vietnamese around the world an inseparable part of Vietnam, said Ambassador Nam. He added that Vietnam will do its utmost to protect overseas Vietnamese people’s legitimate rights no matter where they reside.
