Tet gifts delivered to needy people

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, along with several leaders from central agencies and Tuyen Quang province, presented 350 gifts to policy beneficiaries on Thursday, including victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and workers living in difficult circumstances in the locality.

At the ceremony, the Deputy PM affirmed that the Party and State always pays close attention to the care of policy beneficiary families, poor households, workers and needy people in throughoutsociety. Deputy PM Dung also askedprovincial agenciesto focus on helping needy people in the locality to welcome a happy and warm Tet festival.

The same day, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai received a delegation from the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha on the occasion of the New Year. Mai praised the VBS's contributions to Vietnamese foreign relations and national development.

In Ho Chi Minh city, NA Vice Chairman Do Ba Ty paid Tet visits to families of late President Vo Chi Cong, late NA Chairman Pham Van Dang, and late NA deputy Nguyen Thien Thanh
