Tet gifts delivered to poor households, disadvantaged workers nationwide

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong on Saturday presented Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to social policy beneficiaries, poor workers and households and visited soldiers in the central province of Quang Tri. 

Mr. Phuong spoke highly of trade unions’ efforts to take care of its members, helping workers living in difficult circumstances have a happy Tet. Their activities truly give workers a helping hand amid global economic uncertainties, he added. 

Also on Saturday, a delegation led by President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Do Van Chien visited and presented gifts to poor households and blankets to students in Mo Rai commune in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum. He urged local authorities to help disadvantaged households enjoy a warm Tet. He suggested the provincial Fatherland Front make advanced payments to help every poor household enjoy a happy Tet.

The same day, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia gave gifts to poor households and disadvantaged workers in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap.
