(VOVWORLD) - On Friday, Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Organization Pham Minh Chinh visited workers of coal mines in Quang Ninh province.
Mr. Chinh presented 300 gift sets to disadvantaged workers and extended Tet greetings to more than 100,000 coal miners across the province.
"This is a humanitarian act. I hope that workers, including coal miners will continue to be taken care of. They deserve improved living conditions in light of their contributions to national development," said Mr. Chinh.
Also on Friday morning, Mr. Chinh, representatives of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, and leaders of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited together with Quang Ninh authorities, attended a see-off ceremony for mine workers who are going home for the Tet holiday.
