(VOVworld) - Thai police arrested seven anti-coup protesters on Sunday following a rally outside a Bangkok shopping centre. More than 6,500 police and soldiers were deployed at several sites across the city to enforce a ban on political gatherings of more than 5 people.

Soldiers of Army Chief Prayut Chan-Ocha have captured 20 people without using violence. One of them was the politician Sambat Boongamanong from the “red shirt” movement, which supports ousted Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. He was arrested for calling for an online campaign to stage rallies against the military takeover.
