Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao held talks with his Thai counterpart Yingluc Shinawatra in Thailand on Wednesday. They witnessed the signing of four memoranda of understanding on Diplomatic Relations, Criminal extradition, Educational Cooperation and Rice Trading. They planned to open new air routes while increasing the number of tourists and solving the trade barrier issues. Thai Prime Minister Shinawatra suggested further trading of rubber, cassava and ethanol. She called for more Chinese investment in Thailand, especially in regional connection projects, the Dawei Special Economic Zone, high-speed rail project, water treatment system and flood management. Prime Minister Wen Jiabao pledged China’s supports in all aspects to ensure regional security and to live up with bilateral partnership and trading relations.
