(VOVworld) – Approximately 1,000 members of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Youth Union and local people joined the 120th Green Sunday held at Vinh Loc B commune, Binh Chanh Disrtict, Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday.

Pham Hong Son, Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Youth Union, said the weekly Green Sunday will run until this August to clean up canals near Go Dinh bidge, Binh Chanh district: “Young people will contribute greatly to new rural development in Vinh Long B commune, especially in environmental protection. This event will help raise the public awareness of environmental protection.”
The Ho Chi Minh Municipal Youth Union will also coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Steering center of the urban flood control program, and the People’s Committee of Binh Chanh District to improve the environment and landscape of the Cau Suoi canal route.
