(VOVworld) – Activities have been held nationwide in preparations for the 86^th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and 2017 Youth Month.

More than 1,000 youth union members participate in the launch ceremony.

In Son La, the provincial Youth Union held a ceremony on Saturday in Mai Son district to launch the Youth Month during which youth union members plan to build asphalted roads in Muong Son commune, conduct a blood donation program, and participate in environmental sanitation activities.

Secretary of Son La Youth Union Vang A La said: “Through activities organized in the Youth Month, the standing committee of the provincial Youth Union wants to promote the Youth Union’s glorious tradition, improve the awareness and responsibility of young people, and encourage them to join with local administrations and people to implement economic, cultural, social, security, and defense targets.”

Thirty sets of gifts have been presented to poor students in Mai Son district who have overcome their difficulties to continue their studies.

A ceremony to launch the 2015 Youth Month in Da Nang City

On the same day, more than 500 members of the provincial Youth Union attended the launch of the 2017 Youth Month in Tien Thanh commune, Binh Thuan province.

Diverse activities have been organized towards the protection of the national sea and islands. They cleaned Tien Thanh beach environment, presented 100 national flags to local fishermen, and provided legal consultation and disseminated laws on environmental protection to the locals.

Hanoi Youth Union also launched this year Youth Month under the theme “The capital city’s youths participate in developing new-style rural areas and a civilized urban and strictly abiding by administrative rules.”
