Nguyen Van Duoc, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said: “Vietnam is the world’s second largest rice exporter. Each year Long An produces 2.8 million tons of rice. We hope that following this festival and the announcement of the logo of Vietnam's national rice brand, Vietnamese rice will be known more widely around the world and contribute more to national development, and boost farmers’ incomes.”

The festival will include Vietnamese rice logo contest and workshops on climate change adaptation and rice brand development.
