General Secretary and President To Lam chairs a Politburo meeting on measures to address the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi.

The top leader expressed his deep condolences to the families of the victims, especially those whose relatives died in the typhoon and flood.

He said he believes that the entire people and army, under the leadership of the Party, will strongly promote the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of "self-reliance, self-confidence, self-strengthening, and national pride" to soon overcome the consequences of the storm and quickly stabilize people’s lives.

He also asked Party committees and authorities at all levels to learn lessons and propose solutions to minimize the damages caused by natural disasters in the future.
