Organized by the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association, the preliminary round features 97 Robusta and 49 Arabica coffee samples sourced from renowned coffee-growing regions such as Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Kon Tum, Quang Tri, and Son La.

From April 20–23, the judging panel will evaluate and score the entries under strict international standard process, including sample coding, physical evaluation, roasting, cupping, data recording, and processing.

Trinh Duc Minh, Chairman of the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association and Head of the competition’s organizing committee, said: "This year, we saw large batches, with the largest reaching up to 30 tons. Alongside these are smaller lots from new farmers in the specialty coffee market. The second notable point is creativity, clearly reflected in processing methods, such as double fermentation and red honey processing, which deliver top-quality coffee for consumers."
