Hoi An tops the list of Vietnam’s most hospitable cities

Hoi An, a city rich in history and culture, has been ranked first on this list. This is the second consecutive year that Hoi An has been named most hospitable city in Vietnam.

In second place is Ninh Binh province, known for its majestic limestone mountains and rich cultural depth. Ha Giang province ranks third, impressing visitors with its rugged terrain and vibrant ethnic culture, making it an ideal destination for adventure travelers.

Phong Nha in Quang Binh province, a town renowned for its world-class cave systems, and Con Dao in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, a destination known for its pristine natural beauty, also made the list.

The remaining five destinations including Cao Bang, Phu Quoc, Cat Ba, Sa Pa, and Ha Long — highlight the diversity of travel experiences in Vietnam, from highlands to coastal regions.

In addition to the list of hospitable cities, Booking.com announced the Top 5 most hospitable regions in Vietnam in 2025, namely Kien Giang, Ninh Binh, Quang Nam, Ha Giang, and Lao Cai. Kien Giang was previously honored for the first time in the list of “The friendliest places in the world”, placing 9th.
