Top legislator: Vietnam considers promoting ties with Russia a top priority

Speaking at a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko in Hanoi on Tuesday, Mr. Man reiterated Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification.

He proposed both countries continue to exchange delegations at all levels, enhancing cooperation between the Vietnamese National Assembly, the Russian State Duma, and the Federation Council. He also expressed his hope that Ambassador Bezdetko would further promote the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Russia and Vietnam and serve as a bridge between their legislative bodies.

Ambassador Bezdetko promised to further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
