Localities recorded the highest increase included Khanh Hoa province, Can Tho city, Da Nang city, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam welcomed more than 950,000 foreign visitors from January to July, 10 times higher than the figure in the same period last year. However, the seven-month number still falls short of the pre-pandemic figure, representing a drop of more than 90% compared to 2019.

Vietnam has set the target of serving about 5 million foreign arrivals this year. The September-April period is the peak season for foreign tourists to Vietnam.
