(VOVWORLD) - 5 million visitors celebrated the four-day holiday of the National Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1), Vietnam’s tourism sector reported.

Da Nang city welcomed more than 245,000 tourists, 7,400 of them foreigners. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the municipal Tourism Department, said cultural and sports activities were held at the My An night beach and the An Thuong tourist street.
“South Korea is always a key tourist market for Da Nang and other localities in the central region. Da Nang will receive many foreign visitors this summer, and from now to the end of this year, and in subsequent years once the city and airlines increase flight promotion programs,” said Binh.
According to the National Administration of Tourism, the tourism industry expects to welcome 65 million visitors, including 5 million foreign tourists, this year.
