Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee, said the Committee hopes to achieve three objectives: promote awareness and adherence to traffic laws, decrease traffic accidents, and reduce congestion on major routes and in big cities.

Deputy PM Quang urged for initiatives aimed at ensuring traffic safety during the upcoming Lunar New Year next month.

"Everyone, including civil servants, public employees, parents, and teachers, should set an example by respecting the law and fostering a voluntary commitment to follow traffic safety regulations."

This will contribute to the gradual establishment of a safe traffic culture in society. Any violations of traffic order and safety should be dealt with firmly, he said and urged press agencies to spread this spirit across society.
