A passenger train derailed in north-west Spain's Galicia region, killing at least 35 people and injuring 200. Victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The train, carrying 238 people from Madrid to Ferrol, left the tracks near the city of Santiago de Compostela. Officials said 13 carriages derailed, four overturned, and several others burst into flame. The cause of the incident has not yet been determined, but the Spanish government believes it was probably an accident. Spain's state television has reported that the train was speeding on a sharp curve.
