(VOVworld) - A training course took place in the central province of Quang Nam to disseminate Vietnam-Laos border laws for 140 village leaders in border areas. The event was followed by a similar course in Thua Thien – Hue. Truong Minh Tuan, deputy head of the Party Central Committee Commission on Communication and Education and a member of the State Steering Committee for Land Border Demarcation and Landmark Planting, says:
“The course aims to improve the legal understanding of village leaders who will then spread the key ideas of the border laws to their community. For instance, marriage in border areas should follow the laws of both countries.”
The course is co-organized by the Party Central Committee’s Commission on Communication and Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Ministry of National Defense, Radio the Voice of Vietnam, and Vietnam Television.
