Trang An Festival honors national hero, traditional culture
(VOVWORLD) - Various traditional rituals and folk art performances are taking place at the ongoing Trang An Festival 2019 in the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh province.
Visitors are treated to a dragon procession on the river, ceremonial and ritual singing, among others.
The annual festival is held on the 18th day of the third lunar month to commemorate national hero, Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong — a general under the reign of the 18th Hung King who made great contributions to establishing and protecting the country. This year’s event marks 5 years since the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site.
